How To Continue Your Download File With Different Computer Using Internet Download Manager!

Internet Download Manager (IDM) is a shareware download manager and only available for the Microsoft Windows Operating System. The Advantages from this shareware is you can Import or Export download jobs easily and also you can’t pause and resume your download file in other time but you have to copy partially downloaded file. This is Tips and Trick that i can share to you, enjoy it and please give me a feedback!

First Computer

Pause your download;

• First, you have to pause your downloading file by clicking Pause button.
  • If you don’t know which file or where it is, just click All Downloads Tab or Unfinished Tab.

Export your download;

• Second, you have to export your download file by clicking Tasks tab and choose Export then To IDM export file.

• Choose Export download queue, then click OK.
  • If you have much file to download and you just want to select one file, just click that file before Export -> To IDM export file -> Export selected files then OK.

Save It;

• Third, you have to save that file using easy name file. In this example, name it SamsungDriver, then click Save.
  • To make it easier, just make a New Folder in Desktop to save your file in that folder. In this example, i made IDM Continue Folder to save and copy all files.

Find your temporary downloaded file in;

• Fourth, you have to find your temporary download file by opening “C:\Users\(your user name)\AppData\Roaming\IDM\DwnlData\(your user name)”
  • Your user name is your used account;
  • Temporary downloaded file will have the same name like file name in IDM.

Copy it;

• Fifth, Copy that folder and paste it to same folder with export IDM File (Step 3).
• Sixth, Copy that folder to Flashdisk or HDD to use it in another computer.
  • Another computer must have IDM to use this Tips and Trick, if a computer don’t have it. You have to install IDM first.

Different Computer

Copy temporary downloaded file to same places like before;

• Seventh, Copy folder file from Flashdisk or HDD and paste it to folder IDM in”C:\Users\(your user name)\AppData\Roaming\IDM\DwnlData\(your user name)”
  • Your user name is your used account;

Import your download;

• Eighth, you have to import IDM export file In Step 2 by clicking Tasks Tab -> Import -> From IDM export file.

• In this example, my file name is SamsungDriver, then click Open.

• Tick or check a download file, then click OK.

• If you dont have another download, choose Main download queue and check Start queue processing to start the download immediately then click OK

Resume your download;

• You will continue your download file using another computer.
